About 

 
They're an endangered species. They are part human and part animal. They each have animal-like qualities and features. They can be either good, evil or neutral. Each would have a tattoo on their skin that symbolises what type of power they use. 

Weapon
They each have their own unique weapon that contains their main element. The weapon holds a crystal or gem which would be the power's main source. If overused, the crystal would break and be damaged. This affects the owners life span. The crystal would return to its normal state after a few days. 

The weapon's size would decrease/increase until it's at a point where the owner can comfortably use it. 

Clothing
Their attire is purely based on the medieval times, but with a little bit of myth/fantasy.

Personality
Their personality is based on their main power (or element).
For example; If one's main power is fire, they can be hot-headed and impatient. 
Or if one's main power is ice, they can be cold and straightforward.

Purpose
Since they're endangered, there are a lot of humans (mostly hunters) that are interested in capturing them and using them for their selfish purposes (such as using them as slaves or using them for show). Some are willing to pay a great deal of money for one.

Because of this, they all decided to form a tribe in order to protect each and one of it's members. But it's never safe to stay at one area. Every month, the entire tribe would switch to different locations. 

They use their powers to protect one another and survive.

Good or Evil?
Originally, all members of WARN are good. But sometimes, the unknown environment can confuse or brainwash other members to turn evil. This causes them to act against their own race and start attacking other members. To avoid this from happening, some were imprisoned or abandoned from the tribe, leaving them to starve and die.

I think you would say they're "endangered", not extinct. If they're extinct, then there are absolutely none left anywhere.
It's a good idea, I like it~
